Starting this summer, Stretch Construction will be heading up the construction of the Ledge on Lakeshore townhouses in Kelowna. We are excited to take part in the first phase of this project and make way for the subsequent stages, including over 1100 units in the master-planned project.
This development is one of the largest multi-family developments in the Kelowna area and fills a significant need in the Okanagan market. In total, the Ledge on Lakeshore townhouses will be over 300,000 square feet. The first phases will include 200 units, with high-end finishes throughout each unit.
The design of the townhomes creates a seamless transition between the nearby single-family homes while still connecting with the outdoor spaces that Kelowna boasts. It is in a prime location along Lakeshore Drive. The Ledge on Lakeshore townhouses and the other neighbourhood projects allow for growth and development in the community.
The Ledge on Lakeshore townhouses features a unique construction style. The multi-family structures will be constructed with wood frame walls and roofs, and the floors will be built from precast concrete. Building with these products provides us with the versatility to meet the unique design of these townhomes. It also helps to speed up construction when using pre-formed products; this means Stretch can maintain our efficient timeline while providing the client with a superior end product. The Ledge on Lakeshore project is expected to be completed in 24 months.
